About Invisalign®
Invisalign® is a discreet way to straighten teeth with customized, clear plastic aligners. To determine if you are a good candidate, you will undergo a thorough consultation and examination with Dr. Striebel. At this time, he will address the cost and time involved, and answer any questions you may have. The next step involves taking impressions, x-rays, and photographs of the inside of your mouth.
Along with the convenience of Invisalign®, the treatment provides great results and flexibility for adults and teens.
These will allow us to create 3D images of your teeth, and fabricate the customized aligner trays. This series of trays will be used throughout the course of your treatment. When worn, the aligners will gradually move your teeth into proper alignment. While the timeframe for each treatment varies, we have found that adults typically require about one year to achieve their desired results. Treatment time for teens is usually similar to that of traditional braces.
How Does the Treatment Work?
The clear, BPA-fee plastic aligners will fit comfortably against your gums and teeth, to avoid any irritation or pain. Throughout the course of your treatment, it is recommended that you wear the aligners between 20 to 22 hours per day. The trays may be removed to eat and brush, and on special occasions when you would prefer to show your teeth.
Every two weeks, you will wear a new set of aligners from the series. You will maintain a schedule of follow-up appointments to evaluate your progress. Once your treatment plan is complete, you will be able to show off a more brilliant smile.
